LOGSTREAM

Application Log Management and Trace Context

Find relevant application messages without repeatedly switching between separate log files and request views. Spekra stores the logs your applications submit and presents them in the organization workspace.

Guided pilot scope · Reviewed 2026-10-16. No production AI diagnosis, automatic infrastructure/DDL remediation or compliance certification is offered.

Collect structured application logs

Send individual entries or validated batches through the log ingestion API. Entries contain a message, timestamp, level and source, with optional context and trace or query identifiers. Supported levels are DEBUG, INFO, WARN, ERROR and FATAL.

Configure your application or shipping pipeline to submit logs. There is no automatic filesystem or container-log discovery service.

Filter, search and follow context

Use source, level and time filters, text matching or bounded regex search. Live updates help follow incoming messages. Where supplied identifiers match, follow a trace or query association to inspect related evidence.

A shared incident investigation can display retained logs alongside traces and host/query observations. An exact identifier link is stronger than a similar timestamp; neither creates missing instrumentation.

Reduce repeated investigation work

For a failed request, narrow the source and time window, inspect errors, then follow its trace ID. Share the relevant incident context rather than manually copying messages between tools. Global workspace search offers a separate literal-search entry point across enabled suites.

Search and data-handling boundaries

Batches contain 1–1,000 entries; messages are bounded to 65,536 characters. Regex search evaluates a bounded candidate set, not an exhaustive distributed full-text index. Avoid expensive untrusted regex patterns; execution-time isolation is not implemented.

Log messages and context can contain secrets or personal data. Redact before sending, restrict access and agree retention/purge procedures. The database query normalizer does not universally sanitize logs.

Frequently asked questions

Can logs be connected to traces?

Supplied trace identifiers can associate logs with request evidence. Logs without matching identifiers cannot be linked with certainty.

Does LogStream replace every log platform?

Evaluate your required ingestion rate, retention and query behavior in a pilot. There is no guaranteed high-volume throughput or Elasticsearch-compatible search contract.

Are logs automatically redacted?

No universal ingestion-redaction guarantee is provided. Your application or pipeline must remove sensitive data before submitting it.
