DATABASE & INFRASTRUCTURE

Infrastructure and Redis Monitoring

Bring host, database and cache observations into the same operational workspace. Give engineering teams a common starting point for investigating resource pressure and reviewing collection health.

Guided pilot scope · Reviewed 2026-10-16. No production AI diagnosis, automatic infrastructure/DDL remediation or compliance certification is offered.

Host and cache visibility

The host collector gathers CPU, memory, disk/filesystem, network, uptime and selected process observations. Registered Redis targets provide selected INFO and slow-log observations, including clients, operations, memory, cache counters and slow commands.

PostgreSQL and MySQL target collection is part of this suite too. Use the dedicated database guides for their query, lock and connection semantics.

From observations to investigation

Register the supported targets you own and verify connectivity, source identity and freshness. Review host samples with database or cache activity in the same time window. Supported threshold rules flag selected combinations for human review.

This can reduce repeated gathering of resource context during an incident. Concurrent symptoms are associations, not proof that a process or query caused the problem.

Know whether collection is arriving

The main Node.js agent reports delivery health, including pending work, retries, delivered or dropped payloads and last success. Bounded retry and payload deduplication help during transient delivery problems; the queue is in memory and does not guarantee delivery across a crash.

Deployment and collection limits

A containerized agent observes its runtime-visible environment; verify which host resources it can see. Collector-host CPU is not automatically database-host CPU. Missing or defaulted fields must be interpreted with source status.

Redis uses a basic TCP/RESP collector. Do not assume Redis TLS, complete cluster discovery or compatibility with every managed service. Validate network, credentials, permitted commands and encryption requirements before a pilot.

Frequently asked questions

Can I monitor Redis as well as SQL databases?

Yes. Selected Redis observations are supported alongside PostgreSQL, MySQL and host telemetry. Redis does not use the SQL schema-comparison or reviewed database-learning workflow.

Does the agent fix overloaded infrastructure?

No. Monitoring and rules provide observations for investigation. Supported production workflows do not resize servers, change Redis settings or terminate database sessions.

What should an infrastructure pilot prove?

Verify source identity, collection freshness, visibility in the actual deployment environment and one useful resource-pressure investigation. Measure collection impact on your workload.
